The Prairie Conference track meet was held on Wednesday, May 15 at St. John's University in Collegeville.
Joseph Guthrie took 1st place in the boys high jump, long jump, and triple jump. He broke the team record and conference record in the triple jump with a jump of 43'3"! Joe was named the Prairie Conference MVP.
Nicholas Guthrie took 1st place in discus, Alyssa Young took 1st place in the long jump, and Genevieve Mrozek took first place in the shot put.
The relay team of Benden Mack, Nick Guthrie, Caleb Guthrie, and Jimmy Jensen took 2nd place in the boys 4x200. The team of Quinn Guthrie, Nick Guthrie, Brayden Mack, and Jimmy Jensen took 2nd place in the boys 4x800. Alyssa Young took 2nd place in the girls triple jump.
All of these student-athletes earned all-conference awards. Next up for the track team is the sub-section meet which will be held at Maple Lake on Tuesday, May 21st. Tickets can be purchased online for $8.00 or at the gate for $10.00. Link below for online tickets from the MSHSL.
