Snowmobile Safety

Instructor(s) Needed For This Class

Students between the ages of 11 and 18 must take and pass this course in order to legally ride a snowmobile across public land, roadway, or right of way (ditches). The class consists of instruction, movies, and a manual. Students will take a written test and a riding test. The students will be instructed in road and machine safety, maintenance of sleds, gear to wear, emergency procedures, and rules of the road. A parent or guardian must be present for the first 15 minutes of the first class to complete a parental release form for his/her child. Department of Natural Resources Safety Certificates will be awarded upon successful completion of the written and field tests.

Class is limited to the first 30 registered students.

Pre-registration with Community Ed is required
Walk-in registrations are not accepted!!!

Fee: $5.00 fee is to be paid online directly to the Department of Natural Resources upon successful completion of this course. Instructions given the first night of class (Parent/Guardian needs to attend 1st 15 minutes the first class).
