This year's Upsala sixth grade continued the tradition of a class trip to the Duluth area.
Led by teacher Jacob Drimel and several parent chaperones, the class left the school parking lot on Wednesday morning, May 22.
The first day included a Vista Fleet harbor tour, a tour of the William A. Irvin freighter, and exploration of Canal Park. The group then stayed the night at the Edgewater Hotel.
The second day took them a little further along the north shore where they toured Split Rock Lighthouse and had a picnic lunch on site. A visit to Gooseberry Falls rounded out the trip before the sixth graders headed back home on Thursday night.
