Illness at School
If students become ill in school, the students are to report to the Nurse's office and the school nurse/ office personnel will decide what action should be taken. Students must not leave the building because of illness without authorization.

"Is my student too ill for school? "
Many parents are frequently concerned about when to keep children home or send them to school. The following information is intended to help parents with this decision:
Your student should stay home if he/she:

  • has a fever of 100 degrees or more, and should remain at home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal.
  • has vomited or has had diarrhea, and should remain at home for 24 hours after the last episode.
  • has any rash that may be disease-related or you do not know the cause.
  • has inflamed or draining eyes or ears.

If a student is ill, please call the school daily at (320) 573-2174 to report the absence and illness. If you have any questions about the above information or illness, please call the school nurse or your family physician.
