Principal Greeting

Cardinal Head High School Student of the Month

For her commitment to her classes, the school, and the community, Noelle Kedrowski, daughter of Jay and Marcy Kedrowski, was named the November Student of the Month by the faculty of Upsala High School (UHS).

Kedrowski excels in her high school and college classes, even though she is involved in many extracurricular activities. She has been a member of the “A” Honor Roll throughout her High School career. In January 2015 she was also recognized as Student of the Month and also for her commitment in many subject areas.

Her favorite class is Choir, because “Musical expression is my happy place. It is how I de-stress at the end of the day.” Denise Cheney, Band/Choir Director said, “Noelle is a very conscientious student. She strives to do well in everything she participates in. This drive will serve her well in her future education and career. She is a joy to have in class.”

In her extracurriculars, she devotes extra time and energy, making her an excellent leader. She currently serves as President of the Senior Class on Student Council and is a member of National Honor Society.

In addition to her active involvement in school activities, Kedrowski competes in United States Dog Agility Association events. She also works at Camp Lebanon. In her free time she enjoys playing piano, painting, and spending time with her family, friends and pets. Noelle has this advice for her classmates - “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” - Audrey Hepburn

Cardinal Head Junior High Student of the Month

Brooklyn Bense has been chosen as the November Upsala Junior High Student of the Month.  She is the seventh grade daughter of Chris and Teri Bense.

She was on the “A” honor roll first quarter.

When asked about her favorite class, she could not decide, as she enjoys all her classes.  Math is her most valuable class, because “we all use it so many times in a day.”  Math Teacher, Renee Scholz said, “Brooklyn a positive attitude and is willing to try anything.  She plans ahead and uses her time wisely, which is one of the reasons why she is so successful in all of her classes.”

Bense plays basketball and softball for Upsala.  She also enjoys dance and has been learning through the Just for Kix program for ten years.  Bense is very active and stays busy outside of school. Besides playing sports, she babysits, loves to read, fish, hunt and go camping.

Her future plans are to “graduate high school, go to college and get a job.”

Advice for her classmates is, “Study hard, have fun and make a lot of memories.”
